WOLF CREEK AVIATION
FLIGHT SCHOOL

A BRIEF HISTORY AND INTRODUCTION

The Brookville Airpark has a great history in the flight school business. For the past 15 years, the Brookville Airpark has been a Part 141 qualified flight school, but also operated under Part 61 as student needs dictated. Part 141 flight schools require the FAA to make an onsite inspection of all Part 141 records and aircraft on a regular basis. Instructors must be approved by the chief flight instructor before instructing students and each student must follow an approved training course outline. One part of these onsite inspections includes an FAA review of the pass / fail rate. If the rate is deemed inadequate by FAA inspectors, the flight school is put on probation until the next inspection. Brookville Airpark was never placed on probation for any reason.

The Brookville Airpark has trained hundreds of pilots, from private pilot certificates through multi-engine instructor ratings. Some of these pilots have furthered their careers and now fly for major airlines, commuter airlines, and corporate aviation. Others still continue to enjoy the freedom and enjoyment that flying brings them and are able to share that experience with friends and family, giving rides or renting an airplane for that weekend getaway.

On March 5, 2000, Wolf Creek Aviation, Inc. purchased the flight school from its previous owners as a turnkey operation. Over the past few years, because of changes to Part 61, the advantages of training under Part 141 have been greatly diminished. As a result, when Wolf Creek Aviation, Inc. began operations, it was determined that current student participation did not warrant the extra time and expense involved in operating a flight school under Part 141. Therefore, we chose not to keep the Part 141 authority. However, if the participation level were to change, Wolf Creek Aviation, Inc. could gain approval from the FAA for a Part 141 flight school.

Wolf Creek Aviation, Inc., a flight school, has as its primary goal, the production of safe and knowledgeable pilots. As a result, our emphasis is more on quality training rather than quickie ratings. We have an interest in every individual and tailor our training program to best benefit each student as necessary depending on experience levels and needs.
